Georgia Thespians and the Educational Theatre Association Georgia Chapter is a registered nonprofit organization dedicated to serving as the professional association for theatre educators across the state of Georgia. Our commitment is to support and enhance the educational experience of theatre students and educators through various programs, events, and resources.
Who We Are
EdTA Georgia is the proud parent organization of Georgia Thespians. As affiliates of the national Educational Theatre Association and the International Thespian Society, we are part of a larger network that champions the importance of theatre in education and advocates for the benefits of dramatic arts in schools.
What We Do
Student Conferences
We host two major conferences annually: one tailored for middle school students and another for high school students. These conferences provide invaluable opportunities for students to engage in workshops, performances, and networking with peers and professionals in the field.
Educators Conference
In addition to student-focused events, EdTA Georgia also organizes the Georgia Theatre Educators Conference. This event is specifically designed to support and develop theatre educators by offering professional development, best practices, and a platform for sharing innovative ideas and strategies.
